On macOS

Some of the default keyboard shortcuts are awkward on macOS, and setting them to any key combination which emits a character will both emit that character and trigger the keyboard shortcut. This makes picking keys a little awkward:

• Ctrl+Space, used to trigger the autocomplete dialog, conflicts with IME selection. I remap this to Alt+Esc.
