Flannel
Flannel provides a simple means of configuring a Layer 3 network fabric between cluster nodes. Originally developed by CoreOS, it has a long history with Kubernetes. Focused on traffic between hosts, not containers, and doesn't support NetworkPolicy.
Flannel supports multiple backends, of which VXLAN is one.
flanneld on each node allocates subnet leases for that node.
