Ducky Shine 7

The Ducky Shine 7 is an awesome keyboard, but its macro keys aren't the most intuitive.

Reset

Hold down Left super and Right super for 5 seconds, until the backlight flashes white.

Configuration

Function mode

Toggle "Function mode" with Fn + Esc

  • Set repeat delay 1x, 2x, 4x or 8x with Fn + F1 - F4
  • Set repeat delay 1x, 2x, 4x or 8x with Fn + Alt + F1 - F4

Backlight

Cycle through backlight modes with Fn + F10:

  1. Wave displays a left to right flowing rainbow gradient.
  2. Alpha displays a right to left flowing alpha wave.
  3. Tetris shows a snake moving from the top left to the bottom right which stacks up the rows as you type.
  4. Colour cycle cycles through all the keys through the colours of the rainbow continuously.
  5. Rain drop shows a random colour on each of a random set of keys each cycle. Decreasing the speed decreases the rate of fading out, not fading in.
  6. Circle ripple shows a ripple out effect in a random colour for each pressed key.
  7. Random reactive behaves similarly to rain drop, but only when a key is pressed.
  8. Aurora highlights the row in the configured colour when keys are pressed.
  9. Reactive behaves like random reactive, except keys are highlighted in the configured colour when pressed.
  10. Breath cycles between fading all keys to the specified colour and off again.
  11. Always backlit sets a static backlight colour.
  12. Never backlit turns the backlight off.

Holding Fn and F10 for three seconds disables the backlight.
