Possible deployment options

• EC2:
  • Reference model for deployment already exists
  • No nested virtualisation support
  • Bare Metal; these types look suitable.
    • Relatively expensive; higher-density hardware than we're looking for.
  • EC2 Mac Instances:
    • Closer to the resource profile that we want
    • mac1.metal (Core i7 6C/12T , 32GB/RAM at £0.92/hr)
• Nested virtualisation in GCP:
  • Reference model for deployment already exists
  • Performance is pretty terrible; I guess nested virtualisation might not be the best shout.
• Scaleway:
  • Elastic Metal Aluminum (Ryzen PRO 3600, 16GB RAM, 2x 1TB HDD at £0.095/hr)
