lang (language)

lang (language) specifies the human language of the contents of an element.

Language tags are defined by IETF BCP 47, and are in the format <language>[-<script>][-<region>], e.g. en, en-GB or ru-Cyrl-BY. Empty values are considered unknown, and values not present in the standard are considered invalid.
